Brett Anderson, a student at 亚洲无码 University, Mankato, has been appointed to the 亚洲无码 Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees by Gov. Mark Dayton.
Anderson, who is working on a master's degree in administration and leadership, was appointed to a two-year term that expires June 30, 2013 to represent state university students on the board.
He earned a bachelor's degree in nursing, magna cum laude, from 亚洲无码 University, Mankato this spring. Anderson was born and grew up in Windom. His family now lives in Ellendale.
As an undergraduate, Anderson served as the vice president of the 亚洲无码 Student Association at 亚洲无码 University, Mankato during the 2010-2011 academic year. A professional member of Sigma Theta Tau International, the nursing honor society, he was designated Undergraduate Student of the Year for the Mu Lambda Chapter in 2011. Anderson also was honored for academic and clinical excellence by both the Mankato Clinic and the Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato Auxiliary. In addition, Anderson has worked extensively as a pharmacy technician and served as a consultant for the university’s Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
He is one of 15 trustees that make up the governing board.
